'IF YOU BUILD IT, THEY WILL COME' - WHAT IS IT?

In the fall of 2016, HVLL launched the "If You Build It, They Will Come" Facility Improvement Campaign. Spurred by the dedication of a host of wonderful volunteers and the successful fund-raising activities of July 4 fireworks booths over the course of two summers, we took a look around and developed a plan to put this money back into what has become a home away from home for many of our families.

The 2016/17 and 2017/18 Boards of Directors officially approved a multi-phase capital improvement plan to upgrade our fields and facilities, improve the safety of our players, and continue to create a more family-friendly environment.

How Can I Help?

All of this sounds really exciting, right? To turn all of these plans into a reality, we will need lots of help, including:

  • Sponsors:
We are looking for large corporate sponsors, small business sponsors, and anyone who is willing to invest in the future of our fields and players.

  • Volunteers:
We are for volunteers to help run fundraisers, those who will participate in League fundraisers, and anyone who is willing to lend a hand (literally), as many of these projects include manual labor.
  • Donations:
No amount is too big or too small.  As a non-profit organization here solely for the children of our community, we would graciously accept a donation, in any amount, to help us fund this multi-year improvement plan.

It's more than just a game

We believe that Little League® is so much more than teaching kids the fundamentals of baseball. It also provides a valuable framework for teaching kids about team work, sportsmanship, how to respond to failure, how to win graciously - and perhaps most importantly - how to grow up to be responsible and thoughtful adults in their community.
